ok, so do I need to, or should I get the head worked on? I've heard people talking about their head getting magnafluxed, and work done on the valves and such on just the head. Taking it to Napa and having a whole bunch of things done for about $125.

The owner told me that he thought that it had a "broken rod", but it sounded ok to me. I have no idea how to investigate that. I guess just open up the head, eh?
