Remove one of the bolts to check the length, then back the other bolts off evenly until the pressure is off. If you think you're going to run out of threads before the tension is off, replace every other bolt with one a little longer. Worked on my old 49 Chevy 50 years ago. ken

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor.
