Neither tractor was built as a production model by IH. The B was discontinued long before the TA was even a consideration, in fact. Both were built by combining parts from other tractors. I would guess the SHTA was built from a Super H front and a 300 rear end. The SBTA is probably a B front end mated to a 340 transmission, then all the "B" platform and final drive parts were bolted on. What I object to is people who think that the very existence of these tractors implies intent to defraud. I don't see Chat's trying to pass these off as "IH factory," only original in the sense that they're original creations of Chat's Tractors. In reference to the SBTA, "only one in existence" is true. It IS the only one in existence. Nobody else has made one, that anybody knows of. Doesn't mean they're trying to pass it off as an IH factory product... This is no different than customizing a classic car to make a one-off machine that's unique and tuned to the owner/builder's tastes and style...
