Ed, I have been having a similar problem with that wiring diagram. I have a 42 H, and my ammeter box also differs significantly from the one in the book. I do not have a junction block (or at least not a separate one as shown in the diagram -- maybe it's built into the fuse housing / light switch block?). I also don't have a separate fuse "box" as shown in the diagram; my fuse is on the same block as the light switch. I've been comparing wiring diagrams from the internet, Bob M (on this site), and the manuals, and I can't find an ammeter set-up / ignition switch set-up that looks just like my H -- and I am so inept with electrical stuff, if I can't copy-cat it verbatim, I am stuck...
