I assumed you were describing repolarizing the generator, which I mentioned in my other post. It wasn't clear which two terminals you were refering to. If you, for example, jumped between the BAT and FIELD lugs of the regulator, you would probably destroy the regulator. Mainly, I didn't want anyone to zap their regulator before I put the other post in. Jumping BAT to GEN will repolarize the generator.
