Sounds like your battery is being overcharged. Problem could be a bad regulator, or possibly the battery is on it's last legs and is about to fail. Try this: Put an accurate DC voltmeter across the battery terminals. It should read around 14.0 - 14.5 volts after the engine has run at speed for a couple minutes. A reading of 15.0 volts or higher with the ammeter showing +30 is a sure indication the battery is being overcharged.
