Now I'm Wondering

Hi Guys, Kicked the duals off the little 686 today and put it on the baler in place of the 966. Noticed right off that everything on the baler just seemed to "work better". Then it dawns on me that the 686 has better hydraulics (had replaced the pumps on it a year ago). Hmmmm, now I wondering if a guy shouldn't just arbitrarily replace those hydraulic oil pumps "just because" when the tractors get up there around 4,000 hours? Maybe they are kinda like a carburetor that gradually goes "bad" over time? Dunno, just a thought. Allan
