This ties in with a previous post regarding the subject. I hooked up with the owner. He wasn't too excited when asked if interested in selling the tractor. Apparently he has a 460G that needs a TA and planned to install the TA from the 460D. However, the owner indicated that if the price was right he would consider selling the 460D. Also, the owner indicated a replacement TA would cost approximately $3,250. Is this right? It seems very high. What would an average price for parts and labor to repair a TA. Are 460D and 460G TA's compatable? What would be a fair price for a non-running narrow front 460D? The engine appears stuck. The lights and some sheet metal are missing. The tires are below average (front tires are flat, rear tires are average). I am looking for a project tractor, preferably a diesel, that requires serious work. Thanks in advance.
