Are you sure it's leaking from where it screws into the tank? I ask because mine leaks around the shut off valve if I open it all the way tight against the stop. If I open it to the stop and then turn it back in enough to be loose it diesn't leak a drop. I work with all sizes of manual valves and they are funny things. Lotsa tricks.
