You don't even have to service it regularly unless you are working the tractor. You probably found it with an inch or more of dirt in the bottom. I don't service ones I work very often and cannot generate much sludge in the bottom so the ones with a lot went many years with no servicing and were still cleaning the air! They do not wear out. On a hobby tractor, or parade tractor, once per year is plenty often enough. They are the best air filter ever made, and were only eliminated due to manufacturing cost. The big companies save money putting an inferior paper filter in and cost you every time you change it.
