I installed a Delco 10SI alternator in my Farmall 230 following the schematic for a Farmall Super M. The schematics are great; very easy to follow. I did not install the WARNING LIGHT, but did install the BALLAST RESISTOR. When the ignition is shut off the engine does keep on running! I took the BALLAST RESISTOR out of the line but the result is the same. The engine keeps on running when the ignition is shut off. However, when I disconnect the (+) wire from the IGNITION COIL the engine stops running immediately. Evidently I have wired it correctly as the AMMETER
shows that the engine is charging when it is running. Where did I go wrong? Que pasa? Many thanks, Bud Nolan
