The corrosion of the aluminum piston can expand so much that it puts drastic pressure on the cylinder wall, locking the sleeve in the cast bore beyond its press fit. I would buy or borrow, or make up, a fly cutter (machinist term for a one cutter hole cutter with a short blank center locater that goes in a drilled hole in the center of the piston). It would be 1/8" smaller than the bore diameter. I would machine away the top ring land (and remove the top of the piston). Once the top is removed, there will be no center hole to use, but a saws all should be able to cut out to the back of and through the remaining compression piston rings, cast iron is easy to cut. (be careful to stay parallel with the cylinder). Once the tension is off the circumference of the piston, it will move. Just my way of doing the deed. JimN
