Lots of Red Tractors

I didn't grow up on a farm, so most of the tractors I saw were in parades. In the parades, I saw nothing but John Deere, which did not surprise me since we are only 60 miles up the road from Moline. Today I took a ride from Dubuque, IA to Ames, IA for work, about 7 hours on the road. I saw all kinds of red tractors out in the fields. Then it dawned on me, if you want to see green tractors, go to a parade. If you want to see red tractors, take a ride across Iowa during planting season. I am a little biased, since my one and only tractor is an IH, but there were far more red tractors at work, mostly IH. It was a great day for a drive. Joe
