Many (actually, too many) years ago my uncle bought a new John Deere 420 tractor with a 30 JD loader. In the operators manual, there were instructions for mounting the loader on other tractors. Also remember seeing in the JD garage at the time, a Farmall M with live pump getting a new JD 45 loader installed. I asked why a green loader was going on a RED tractor. Back then, I guess, kids were not to ask such questions. The JD dealer ignored me, and my uncle, who took me, just bought a new tractor, plow, loader, and blade. I sort of thought that he could have answered me...... I was not much older the next day when the IH dealer came to try to close a deal, only to see that a greenie was in place of the SC, yet he talked to me for maybe 10-15 minutes (and I was not old). Must have paid off, because for over 30 years, I bought almost everything from his IH garage, and NOTHING from that JD lad!!!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes a couple of innocent questions have a long answer........QR..
