Clutch adjustment H

We installed a rebuilt clutch in our H. We assumed the
fingers were pre-set at the rebuild shop. Now, we have
extended the linkage out as far as possible, and it still
does not disengage the clutch. I feel that the fingers
must be backed off. I need to know the distance from
the fingers to fhe face of the throw-out bearing when the
clutch pedal is not5 pressed down. Can I put this
measurement on a set of deviders and adjust the
fingers this way, or am I all wet? Jump in with any and
all advice, tips , and the easiest way to go about this.
