Johann, the "bolt with a nut on it" that you describe is the adjustment bolt. The nut is a jam nut to keep the bolt from moving from it's setting. Loosen the nut and then turn the bolt in, you will see the fingers move as you turn them, as I said about3/16ths clearance, but make sure they are all equall...Mike in Exeter Ontario
