Best way to chisel out a piston

I have an M that has one piston completely stuck. It is so bad that the top of the piston has rotted through. I have no hope of saving it or the sleeve. What is the best way to get it out? I am considering using a cold chisel from the top to try to knock out chunks of it, but I am concerned about the rings. I know the chisel will cut the aluminum easily up to the rings, but then what? I don't want to damage the rod or the block. Can I wedge the chisel between the sleeve and piston and cave it all into the cylinder, or will this cut through the sleeve and damage the block?
