It sounds like an aftermarket hyd system to me- one that"s missing parts too. Does this tractor have a serial tag yet? I assume that it has the cast "bath tub" frame, as opposed to the channel frame rails. What size are the front tires? 16" or 18"? If you can"t post a picture here, could you e-mail me one? Is there oil in the reservoir? Where do the hoses go from the pump? One should come from the reservoir, and the other goes to the hydraulic spool. From there, another hose goes back to the reservoir. It sounds like you don"t even have a spool on this tractor, right? If there"s no oil in the system, the pump is probably shot. You said that the fill tube on the right side has a flange on top with 3 cap screws? It could be that that is where the spool was mounted, eliminating the need for a hose from the spool to the reservoir. If I have time today, I"ll try to get some pics of 2 different hyd systems I have on 2 different W-6s and e- mail them to you. Paul
