Nat, are you talking about the hole thing or just the shaft. I looked at my Super C and I think you have to pull everything off if you want to take off the gear box. This would include the regular PTO also. If you want to remove it all you have to do is pull the whole thing off and put a plate over it. Alot of guys do it when they pull.
