This is what I do make sure #1 TDC compression put your timing marks on the first notch on the pulley go a little bit farther then trip the mag just past # 1 on the rotor make sure its # 1 compared to the dist cap. install mag.When you install the mag turn it as far toward the motor as you can. Then turn the motor over backwards about 1/2 motor revolution . Then turn it back with crank or something simelar untill you get the first timing mark on the pulley lined up . Then slightly turn the mag away from the motor untill it trips and tighten it up. JON
