Install new points, condenser, rotor, cap, and spark plugs. Check the coil. Adjust carb idle mixture screw(1 to 1 1/2 turns open) and main fuel adjusting screw(2 1/2 to 3 turns open). When you try to start the tractor, USE CHOKE SPARINGLY. This is the procedure I have always followed when I am trying to start a tractor that has been sitting for a few years or when a tractor is flooding when trying to start them
