I looked for your post on the JD Board. Didn't see one. Try adjusting the clutch. It should have 1 1/2" of freeplay. Loosen the jam nut on the adjusting cam. That is just below the serial# tag on the left side. Then turn the adjusting cam{the center bolt with the flat sides} clockwise to increase the freeplay or counter clockwise to decrease freeplay.
