When I start the engine on my 1942 Farmall H, there is a wet black material coming out of the exhaust for a few seconds, enough to splatter all over the hood. I have overhauled the engine, new pistons and sleeves, new valves, seats and guides and a new manifold. The head was checked for cracks and pressure tested. The head surface was machined flat and the head gasket sealed with permatex copper coat. The carburetor was rebuilt, new fuel line, strainer and an inline filter also installed. This discharge is wet; it smears like water and then dries. I thought it might be anti-freeze but it is not sticky. I used a block sealer but that has not helped either. I’m at the end of my rope with this. Could it be condensation in the exhaust system? Anyone had a similar problem or any ideas? Thanks, Bill in TN
