Rex: If you have an old round handle from a broom, etc. Cut it square on both ends, put one end to your ear and other end on the various suspect parts of tractor. You will soon pin point within couple inches where the noise is. I call this the poor mans stethascope. There is a truck shop near here that use just that, a stethascope to find pesky little noises.
