Fenton, the big O-ring is NOT the culprit. If it were bad, the pump leak would be visible on the surface of the pump. The culprit is the seal on the one removable gear, which engages with the governor gear. The seal is probably still attached to the housing, but is removable. Take another look. The leak occurs at that seal around the removable (or drive) gear and the fluid drains into the oil pan via the governor gearing. Good luck & happy Thanksgiving!
