Farmall CNKS I need some advice

On the 52 Farmall Super A, got the hydro pump apart. I"m looking at two opposing gears in a brass fitting.I don"t see a shaft that you guys had mentioned before with a seal on it that might be the problem causing hydro oil to go into the engine block. What it does have is a rubber O ring that goes around the outside of the two gears.I"m assuming that might be the culprit? It looked ok, but was a bit stiff so maybe it had flattened or dried out some causing the blow by into the engine. One gear is removable and there are no apparent seals on it"s shaft, the other gear seems to be fixed in and does not come out and I"m not forcing anything as we all know what that can do. So.....I guess I replace the O ring and hope that"s it? Seems way too simple...
