This question pops up once a week. Cubs, Super As, and Cs were painted white at Louisville Works in early 1950 as part of the Mid-Century Sales Promotion. There were thousands produced. Most were used for demonstrations, then repainted red for sale to customers. Some were not repainted. Check the archives for more info. They're not as rare as everyone thinks.
