Tom, can't remember ever seeing the starter button pin on a SM but I looked in a SM parts book and sure enough its shown for stage 1 tractors.The one you have is correct though.Did the picture you looked at with starter pin show a
seat with pipe frame and spring in front also?
I think when they started offering the hydraulic
seat most were equiped with the lever type linkage because it was hard to get your foot on pin with later seat frame.I should make clear it shows the lever type in parts book also.
