well this tractor sat outside for 20 years. Some school kids took it for a school project, cleaned it , painted, and got it running for my neighbor Took the shifter off,it was wore at the bottom. The pin holding the shifter was also wore out. Took the drain plug out, no oil!! About a half a cup of this tan looking tar stuff drained out in an hour. Who knows when the oil was checked or changed!! Looked down the shifter tube, what a mess. It is amazing this thing moved!!! Since this is such a mess, I think he wants to take the deck off and dump 5 to 10 gallon of kerosene in the case, soak awhile!! Thanks everyone for helping Jim
