I'm with makin'hay and JT it probably has the M&W 9 speed which gives you 4 more gears between 4th and 5th, great for raking hay etc. The TA was never available on the regular M. The SM was intoduced in 1952 but they only had the TA in 1954. As far as value the best i can give is a restored SMTA with everything M&W made for it on it sold over $10,000 for sure, I believe it was $16,000(don't quote me)at the county fair.
