My 706 has the 18.4-34 tires on it. Seems like a lot of the early ones especially the gassers around here had them. It will take a lot of gas if worked hard but for light work it's not bad. Might be cheaper to run than a diesel now since diesel is 75 cents higher than gas. One thing make sure you run 93 octane gas if you work it hard or you will be melting pistons! $3500 sounds in the ball park if every thing is in top condition.
