1956 350 Diesel Voltage Regulator

I got a 1956 350 Diesel. Couple weeks ago the cable that runs from the battery to the starter shorted out and the wiring burnt up. I replaced the wiring but I can't find a manual ( I live way out in the boonies) to tell me how to hook up the voltage regulator. Can you help? 1956 Farmall 350 Diesel 12 volt (factory) There are two wires( 1-12 gauge and 1-10 gauge)that come from the generator. There are two wires coming out of the console (1-12 gauge and 1-10 gauge). On what terminal of the voltage regulator do these wires connect? Thanks for your help. James Hand
