Having 2 wires down from the dash made it sound that way. My post above still stands good then, whichever dash wire (when NOT connected to anything) always reads hot battery voltage goes to BAT on the VR and the other dash wire (which isnt hot) likely goes to the VR's LOAD terminal to feed voltage to the lights etc. John T
