Got the head off and now....

I got the head off the 100 and the pistons and sleves are a mess it looks like they have been sitting in water for about 20 years or so!! all kinds of rust and water. So I need a kit. The question that I have is should I put the 3 1/4" steeped pistions in or stay with the stock?? Does puttig in the bigger pistons require any type of machineing? Will the bigger pistons have any notacible power diffrence? I plan I using it for pulling. Thanks
