It's the horizontal bolt on which the shank trips (pivots) if it hits a rock. The spring holds the other end of the shank tight against the stop. If you follow the shank up from the ground, it attaches to a casting. The pivot point will go through this casting crossways.

On this model, it's a 1/2" bolt. There's a bushing inside. If you pull the shank sideways with your hands, the bolt shouldn't move much at these points. If it does, it has seen a lot of use and will need some parts to fix.

Unless you have really heavy clay, your 806 will work well with an 18' in 4L or 1H. We pulled a 21' with ours in 1H.
