Hi Leon,
Yes, you need to pull that assembly off to change your PTO shaft. You will need a 3 finger puller to get the large drive gear off the PTO shaft. I dont know were you are located, but you can start with any of your local salvage yards or put a call into a place like steel ranch for replacement parts. You will also need a new gasket for the PTO housing and new O-ring for the belt pulley housing. While you have it apart you may as well change your seals also. Hope this helps.
