OK, I realize you are right in everything you say. The reason I ask in the first place, is back in the early days of tractor beginings to many maufactures would claim their tractor had more power than tractor X. So the Gov't got involved and made them comply with telling the truth. Thus is why there is a Hart Parr 18-36. The numbers mean, 36 belt hp & 18 drawbar hp. I know they all got away from that somehow, but I guess Ford was the only one to use model Number with a code in it. Now all of them mean nothing in this age.
