Hi Al, I'm not sure what year my is, I know that they made the 240U from 1958 to 1961, I don't have power steering, and I do ok with out it... Does your tractor have the hydraulic control handle just right of the steering wheel ? That's what mine has, and the hydraulic valve is under the hood just a-head of the gas tank, but the bucket will slowly go down when when it sits, so I need to rebuild the darn thing cause it's leaking by, and not giving me full power I'm sure.
