I built a 40x60 up here in SD a few years ago. Well insulated. 12 foot ceiling. I installed a propane hanging heater.Reznor. BIG ONE. My heat bill for the entire winter, keeping the shop at least 48 degrees at night , higher during day. was just about 400 dollars. If you are in the colder climates, strongly consider using the low temp, hi output florescent lights (100 watt). I I put 12 of them up, wired 3 at a switch. The place looks like a photo studio when it's lit up. Then the bathroom and shower went in. Then a little kitchen, and a spot for a bed. That took up romm I could have 3 more tractors in! GordoSD
