Guys During the restoration of my W-30, I learned that the rims were originally galvanized steel. Most folks grab the silver paint and paint them. My eye thinks the silver paint is too bright and silver is typically a pretty runny paint. When heading to Lowes for some silver paint for my project, I discovered a Rustoleum product called "hammered" finishes. This finish, when dry, has a crystal-like (not metallic) finish, looking more like galvanized metal than plane old silver paint. It also is a nice thick brush-able paint. Word of caution - - don't brush on to hot sun baked metal, as it doesn't have enough time to flow and generate the hammer effect. Am very pleased with the results. Cost is about $10/quart. Good luck.........
