On a tie rod note, the right hand one on my Phord TLB popped out of the knuckle after only 34 years. That's too soon to be buying a new one, so I took it to my welder who popped it back in, built up the edges, and ground it smooth with a Dremel-looking device. He said it "might hold awhile." That was four years ago.
