They get hot but not too hot.

150 deg sounds a little warm. The loader may have closed center valves (or some other restriction) and the pump is having to pump through the relief valve when the hydraulic circuit is just idling. The hydraulic pump should have a free path to the tank when you are not using pressure to move anything.
