Wayne, congradulations on purchasing one of the handiest smaller tractors ever made. On what you call the "floorboard" there will be a series of numbers and a letter which are called a casting code. It will be in the format of a month, day, and a letter for the year that the part was cast in the IHC foundry and will be located near the part no. you provided in your post. You will find this format on several of the major castings if you look for them. Provide that data and we can give you a close idea of the serial number range for your tractor. There are other items on your tractor which were changed at certain serial numbers and the more casting code data you can provide the better we will be able to provide the information you desire. As mentioned in other posts the serial number plate should be on the right side of the tool box which is also the platform for the seat mount. Good luck and enjoy your new purchase.
