thanks for all the info, i went back and looked and got the number below the number 1 plug i think it was fcm 799067 but after looking at serial numbers on the site it must be a fcm 199067 there is no plate left on the seat stand, the date on the floorboard under the casting number is 2-18-and what i thought was "A" i must be wrong again, imagine that , two times in one day.once againg thanks and look forward to meeting all of you one day at a tractor show wayne

Wayne, congradulations on purchasing one of the handiest smaller tractors ever made. On what you call the "floorboard" there will be a series of numbers and a letter which are called a casting code. It will be in the format of a month, day, and a letter for the year that the part was cast in the IHC foundry and will be located near the part no. you provided in your post. You will find this format on several of the major castings if you look for them. Provide that data and we can give you a close idea of the serial number range for your tractor. There are other items on your tractor which were changed at certain serial numbers and the more casting code data you can provide the better we will be able to provide the information you desire. As mentioned in other posts the serial number plate should be on the right side of the tool box which is also the platform for the seat mount. Good luck and enjoy your new purchase.

Serial # is on a plate located on the right side of the tool box/seat support.
I have a Super C and am amazed with it"s capabilities.

Those are casting numbers for the part you read them from. Serial number will be on a plate and for the life of me, I can't remember where it is.

Wayne,
The numbers you cite are part numbers. The serial number plate on the Super C is supposed to be on the right side of the box that the seat is attached to. Sometimes they have been removed. The engine serial number is stamped on a flat milled area on the right side of the engine head just below the #1 spark plug. If it is a Super C, it should be a 6 digit number, possibly prefaced by letters FC or such. You can go to the "Serial Number" section on the left of this screen and find the year. Good luck and let us know what you find.

On the Super series, the engine serial number has no relation to the chassis serial ----- .

Wayne,
I agree the number on the floor is a casting
number, but there is also a date cast below that
number. The year is coded as either W ,X , Y , or
Z . W = 1951 X = 1952 Y = 1953 Z = 1954 These
were the only years that the Super C was built.
This will give you a good reference as to the year although there may have been some overlap.
Bill
