i red the procedure in the I&T book. how much slop or play should there be at the steering wheel before anything moves? i replaced the starter last month and when i took off the tie rod it was loose. the other side was loose on the splines too but that didn't help anything. last week end i helped by buddy pull the motor, transmission and transfer case out of his S-10 pickup. the front end was alittle light, even with the snow plow frame on it, but it picked it up with out any problem. its mostly a strong tractor, i've picked up a complete F-12 transmission, rear end with it. the steering donesn't bother me that bad, just as long as its safe to move in road gear. but it would be nice to remove some of the slop if i could. thanks
