I really don't know, but I doubt that IH maintained very much of a surplus inventory. I would think that the parts were cast at the foundry and were most likely assembled into a tractor within 2 or 3 days at the most. I feel that if all of the casting codes on any tractor fall within a few days of each other, then that tractor most likely is all original. If one of the casting codes does not match or even come close then that part has probably been replaced.
