Casting Codes?

Does anyone know,or can someone approximate how soon after casting IH COULD have used the parts. I know that they could go weeks or months BEFORE they used them, but how SOON could they have? I just checked the dates on several parts on my '49 H and Cub. Assuming 1-2 weeks, I have a mid to late January Cub, and a mid to late July H. H has remains of the just 'MCCORMICK' hood decal.
