I hope you werent proposing using the IH name without CNH royalties....big business is just waiting to stomp out the guys who think they are doing the enthusiast a favor, when in fact they are profiting from a prior manufacturers (and now a current one)creative properties. Basically,if the big dogs dont offer something (thats trademarked) nobody can.Without expensive, time consuming legal wrangling over royalties and distribution rights, etc nothing can get made/sold.I dont believe there is anything against the individual making something up for their own use,but try to sell/market it and the legal eagles will be all over you.Right then and there,on network TV (news)coverage,I would hope the accused would denounce the accuser (CNH) and pledge their loyalty to a competitor.Public opinion means a lot,and to show what happens when the little guy gets stomped by the big gorilla, might just shift the tide to another brand.(of course this all plays backwards if JD came after you and you supported IH in public). Take the easy way out....support Mitsubishi! They need the help right now....
