I have noticed that the "Green" company offers parts availability for competing companys products (such as Case/IH) thru its dealers. Its mainly A&I company based products, but its interesting to see them openly trying to offer parts for multiple brands. It makes sense. If you own a newer JD product and visit your local dealer regularly, you could also service your vintage IH tractor (if you owned more than one brand)with their available "common" items.Sorta takes some sales away from the CASE/IH dealers. Now if CNH could see that, and do a similar job in a reverse manner.....but,I guess they have their hands full with their own CASE,IH,FORD,and New Holland coverage.

If you think about it, Jd is one of the only original companys left of tractor manufacturers, IH is no more, cockshutt is no more, and several others. They got it figured out, the farmers buy new deeres, and they have there old farmalls, M, 1066, whatever, so when they go to get parts for the deeres, they dont have to drive to a case dealer, just get the parts they need. I'm better off goin to the Deere dealer than Case dealer here, cause at the red, they dont really want to deal if your not going to buy a tractor and really dont want to deal if your a kid!. I could go in and take some precision toys, some ih hats, and a nice chrome pipe for my M and they wouldnt notice. Any other dealers like this out there? Now if i go 45 miutes they other way, they got a whole different attitude, nice and friendly, will deal with ya on a 1\64 mx200, or a real mx 200.

guess I'm lucky here in Indiana our CaseIH dealership (thers 4 locations) handle a wide range of equip.,IH, Kubota, Cub Cadet, etc., and the store we go to at Lebanon, they treat you almost like family and we've (knock on wood) never had a problem getting parts for my old timers. Bane Equipment is their name. LOL David

Your right Paul, I sell A&I and have people in my area that go to the local dealer to order every make makes sence for them one stop ,If the dealer has time then its extra money for them in a fine line market. The problem here is CNH does not see us or think there is two many of us out there. If we could all get together and sign a petition or something that would show them that we exist and want to buy parts and memorbilia they may look twice. But as Far as JD goes its not hard to yell out at a mall and find 100 JD fans. Yell Case IH or Farmall and ten of us goes yea. Its sad but true. The green has become a giant just like MC Donalds. NOW If there are any people here that could spend some money and put there wife and kids to work that maybe has a grafics design bussiness or has a relitive in Tiwain or Japan that can get a bunch of his freinds together. I think we could make a killing on this stuff. I really think we should try the petition thing though. MagMan

I hope you werent proposing using the IH name without CNH royalties....big business is just waiting to stomp out the guys who think they are doing the enthusiast a favor, when in fact they are profiting from a prior manufacturers (and now a current one)creative properties.
Basically,if the big dogs dont offer something (thats trademarked) nobody can.Without expensive, time consuming legal wrangling over royalties and distribution rights, etc nothing can get made/sold.I dont believe there is anything against the individual making something up for their own use,but try to sell/market it and the legal eagles will be all over you.Right then and there,on network TV (news)coverage,I would hope the accused would denounce the accuser (CNH) and pledge their loyalty to a competitor.Public opinion means a lot,and to show what happens when the little guy gets stomped by the big gorilla, might just shift the tide to another brand.(of course this all plays backwards if JD came after you and you supported IH in public).
Take the easy way out....support Mitsubishi! They need the help right now....

No What I meant is the last time that case IH contracted this type of stuff out and when the contracts were up that was it they got out of the bussiness of letting people make goodies. So what I meant was to get them to recontract it and we take the contract and make the profits becuase we know what kind of profits are out there. They dont seem to know or care anymore. They being CNH

One would think this would happen with FIAT owning the company.FIAT's time in the US was a disaster, and they are on the verge of extinction.Betcha if the REAL IH still was in business they would be much more open to supporting the old guard.
Remember...their old motto:
The Commitment is FOREVER.

CNH never made that pledge.

It would also be nice if CNH would set up online parts catalogs and pricing/ordering like the green company has. Would be nice to look up parts and prices, you would even know if the dealer has the parts in stock.

I'm multi-tractoral, and use the GREEN site a lot, but as good as it is, it only goes back to a 1975 date of parts catalog publication.

If the machine you're working with has no parts book edition that new, you can't look up parts for it. However, if you have the part number from another source, you can check availability and order it.

some of the parts ads that we get from our CaseIH dealer have a few green parts available, don't know if its just our local dealer or national but I'd be willing to guess national due to ads being from CaseIH its self. David
