I think that every DV550 engine I've ever seen starts hard first start of the day, even at 60-70 degrees. They spin over fast they just don't hit until you give them a shot of starting fluid. We rebuilt our injector so it would start and idle on all 8 cylinders (run on all 8 all the time) that did'nt seem to make a differance either. It sucks starting them that way, but I dont think there's any thing you can do about it.
